2nd of 3 sessions, supporting Year 2 Teachers in understanding and applying Statutory Teacher Assessment Framework for reading and writing.

Session 2: Exploring Greater Depth in Writing at KS1 - securing the standard

This half day training course has been designed to formulate strategies which will support and develop Y2 writers, with the focus on securing greater depth.

The aim of the course is for participants to gain a firm understanding of pupils working at greater depth in writing, with a focus on strategies to support and challenge.

This course will:

• support delegates in considering what makes an effective writer

• secure an understanding of greater depth at KS1 and ways to secure and evidence this standard

• explore practical activities and resources to support

Delegates will need to bring with them a set of evidence for peer moderation and review for both reading and writing.
