This practical training session invites delegates to consider effective strategies and approaches to use within the classroom to support the learning and teaching of spelling and applying these skills within writing. Delegates will explore a variety of engaging ways to promote spelling, update their subject knowledge and gain an understanding of the expectations in the national curriculum at KS2. This course will include content on approaches to learning spelling rules and conventions; strategies for learning exception words; creative approaches to tests and homework; and consider effective ways to support children in applying skills within writing.
