Course aim:

To become familiar with the Revised EYFS 2021 and reflect how this will impact on day-to-day provision and practice within reading

During the session participants will:

• Secure a clear understanding of the expectations for reading in the reception classroom with regard to the new documentation for EYFS and Ofsted requirement

• Reflect upon ways to enhance the curriculum for reading in reception

• Consider links and progression from KS1

• Explore a range of practical and creative approaches to develop early readers
