The aims of this session are to:

• Demonstrate how we can use rich and challenging texts with all pupils in KS1

• Exemplify the Opening Doors approach through a practical unit for delivery in the classroom

• Explore nuances in writing choices and style in the early stages of writing

• Motivate and inspire young writers through poetry
